Welcome to
Cornerstone Learning Center!

We provide excellent academic instruction, music lessons, and aviation ground school and testing through our facility in Quincy, Plumas County, California.
Our
mission is to support the success of K-12 and adult students
by providing the best individualized instructional services available
anywhere at any cost. At Cornerstone, we don’t believe that any student is typical, and we don’t use one-size-fits-all, “canned” programs. Instead,
we develop a profile -- we examine all aspects of a student’s
performance and provide strategies to help each student be more
successful. We determine where learning is breaking down, and we provide interventions that work. Learners
discover which parts of the learning process are harder for them than
for others, and they learn ways to make learning easier. As they begin to experience increased success, their confidence is strengthened, leading to further success.
Costs
for our programs are reasonable and flexible (much lower than the
national chain learning centers), and have not changed since we
opened for business in 2003. Consultation
meetings are always free, so contact us and find out how we can help
any learner grow academically and find joy in learning!
Cornerstone
was created to serve public and private school students who need
stronger academic skills, as well as to support and assist
home-schooling parents. The company also
builds partnerships with local educational and social service agencies
that require academic tutoring or tutor training for the populations
they serve. In 2006, the company expanded its services to include music and aviation programs. Cornerstone is an independent business serving local needs, and is not a franchise or subsidiary of any other company.
